Luoto Cosmetics
Brand Creation & Creative Direction

2018-2022

A natural skincare brand developed from handcrafted products into a recognised retail and online presence, built around a strong visual identity and origin-driven storytelling.

Case

Luoto Cosmetics originated from small-scale, handmade soaps produced in the Turku archipelago, where natural ingredients, craftsmanship and locality formed the foundation of the brand. The sculptural soap forms became a defining visual element, contributing to the brand’s recognisability and distinct identity.

The project focused on building a cohesive brand world around the products, combining visual direction, storytelling and a clear aesthetic language. The narrative was rooted in origin — handmade production, locally grown ingredients and a connection to the surrounding landscape.

As the brand grew, it expanded into retail and online channels, with products distributed across selected stores and webshops in Finland. The visual identity was developed to support both product presentation and broader brand communication, creating a consistent and recognisable presence across platforms.
